About the collection
Time slows down when we stop and notice the place around us. As I move through my busy life this "slowing down" has become more than a luxury. It's become a necessity. The pieces in Summer Stillness embody these moments of stopping and looking, slowing down, noticing my environs, and seeing things I hadn't noticed before. My hope is that it will do that same thing for anyone looking at them. These vignettes of landscapes diffuse out into the negative space surrounding them creating the visual space to stop, slow down, and notice.
